to have you with us this morning. >> i'm victor blackwell. now 10:00 on the east coast. 7:00 on the west coast. you are in the cnn newsroom. >> this morning, one of the top schools in the country is facing a major health scare and trying to figure out how to keep the students safe. a rare and dangerous form of meningitis has struck the university. several people have become ill. the latest came down with the illness several weeks ago. the vaccine is not approved in the united states. >> we have alexandra field at princeton. officials are deciding whether or not to let the students get the vaccine. >> reporter: they are making that decision this weekend. after they make it available, it would be up to the students to decide if they want to get the vaccine that has only been approved overseas. princeton officials are meeting this weekend to discuss vaccinations on campus. it is to combat the meningitis "b" outbreak. the first case developed when the first student returned from spring break in march. additional cases were reported and an outbreak was declared in may. a total of six students

around the country. we are too used to the images. the crush of shoppers fighting, shoving, spitting. in texas, pepper spray was used on a crowd. in virginia, a stabbing in the parking lot of a walmart when two men fought over a parking spot. things escalated beyond that in las vegas when there was a shooting after two shoppers fought concerning a deal. but friday morning, walmart came out saying that 22 million shoppers had entered its u.s. stores on thanksgiving day, and that, in fact, there were fewer incidents of poor behavior than in previous years. alison, george? >> good to know. >> thank you so much. >>> now we go on to scotland. the flags there flying at half-staff this weekend as the victims of a helicopter crash are being discovered. >> the police helicopter slammed through a pub's roof last night, killing at least one person, injuring dozens. cnn's richard quest is at the crash scene. hi, richard. >> reporter: alison, george, good morning to you. yes, we know, and it's been officially confirmed, one person has died, but the authorities are saying be prepared for more deat

the u.s. >> yeah, let's bring in meteorologist karen mcginnis. karen, what can we expect as we head into this week? >> it is going to be blustery. we're still watching the timing of the winter storm system that looks to be gaining some strength across the south central u.s. let's take a look now at what's going on in dallas. you may see those overcast skies for right now, but those temperatures very cold. not going to be warming up very much. the low clouds later on today could produce some sleet, freezing rain, maybe some minor ice accumulation, but western suburb, watch out, the roads could be treacherous. also, chicago. a live tower cam coming from there, as well. and you're looking at not bad sky conditions, but those temperatures bitterly cold. only into the 20s. right now, 27 degrees, wind chill factor feels like minus 1. tonight, temperatures are going to feel below zero. and for tomorrow, you're looking at blustery conditions. then, for denver, mostly cloudy skies and about a 10% to 20% chance of snow showers expected there, some gusty winds. but we could see that icing situ
